Russia's largest oil and gas pipe producer TMK has announced that its TMK Premium Service Division has successful tested TMK FMC premium threaded casing connections at the Ukraine-based oil and gas explorer Cadogan Petroleum's Pirkovskoe gas field, currently being developed by its subsidiary Astroinvest Ukraine.

The 168.28 mm outside diameter TMK FMC premium casing of N80 Q grade and 10.59 mm wall thickness was put to the test during running operations as the casing string reached a depth of 5,700 meters and encountered pressures of 680 atmospheres. This was the first time TMK Premium Service carried out testing at such depths in a vertical gas well.

The successful field tests were carried out within the frame of a supply contract with Astroinvest Ukraine, to which between July and August of the current year TMK Premium Service delivered more than 400 mt of premium threaded TMK FMC casing.
