Tianjin No. 3 Steel Rolling Mill carries out hot run tests

On December 20, successful hot run tests were carried out on the converter No. 2, continuous casting machine No. 1 and the high-speed wire rod line of Chinese steel producer Tianjin No.3 Steel Rolling Mill, as announced by China Metallurgical Corporation Ltd. The tests were carried out within the scope of the relocation project of Tianjin No. 3 Steel Rolling Mill, implemented by BERIS Engineering & Research Corp. and China Metallurgical Construction Engineering Group Co.
 
The project in question includes two 120 mt converters, three continuous slab casting machines, two 120 mt ladle-refining furnaces, one vacuum degassing (VD) furnace and one high-speed wire rod production line. Work on the project started on March 18, 2011, while installation began on October 15 of the same year.
