Germany-based steelmaker ThyssenKrupp AG announced Tuesday that they remain committed to ramping up production at their operations in Brazil and the US--a process that will be completed in the Q4 of fiscal 2012. After the ramp-up period, there will be an 18-month period where the two operations will be streamlined and optimized. The ramp-up of production at both facilities has been slower than originally anticipated due to technical deficiencies and a grim global economic outlook.
