German steelmaker ThyssenKrupp has announced that its Krefeld, Germany-based subsidiary ThyssenKrupp Nirosta has produced stainless steel for the facades of the ‘Sowwah Square' financial center in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates (UAE).

The project, which is a five-building complex housing with special facades, will use 400 mt of 4404 stainless steel materials that were recently manufactured at the Krefeld and Dillenburg plants of ThyssenKrupp Nirosta for the facades. Delivery is currently being made by ThyssenKrupp Stainless International to Austria and the UAE.

Four towers with 31 to 37 stories included in the project will offer around 285,000 square meters of office space. There will also be a five-star hotel.

"Following Burj Khalifa in Dubai and the Doha Airport project, Sowwah Square is another showcase for our materials in the Arab world," says Gert Weiß, head of product service at ThyssenKrupp Nirosta.
