Thailand's motor vehicle output down 25.6% in April

In April this year, Thailand's total motor vehicle output (excluding motorcycles) amounted to 126,730 units, down 25.64 percent year on year, according to a report released by the Thailand Automotive Institute. On the other hand, Thailand's motor vehicle output in the first four months of this year saw a year-on-year decrease of 27.77 percent to 644,222 units.

In April of the current year, Thailand's motor vehicle exports totaled 69,804 units, up 2.34 percent year on year, while in the first four months the country's motor vehicle exports increased by 1.46 percent year on year to 361,313 units.

In April, the number of motor vehicles sold in Thailand's domestic market totaled 73,260 units, down 33.20 percent year on year, while in the first four months the country's domestic motor vehicle sales decreased by 43.05 percent year on year to 297,431 units.
