Mexican steelmaker Ternium Mexico was reportedly affected by a blackout in the state of Nuevo Leon, according to a media report from El Financiero.

The company’s CEO, Maximo Vedoya, said production was shut down “for hours,” which generated millions of dollars in lost revenue.

“We felt the effects the industry felt,” the executive said, adding the damages were highly impacted, since Ternium Mexico’s mills operate continuously. It has four mills in Monterrey and one in Pesqueria.
