Tenaris officially opens OCTG threading unit in Ecuador

Global pipe and tube producer Tenaris S.A. has announced that it officially opened its new oil country tubular goods (OCTG) threading mill in Ecuador on Tuesday, September 16. Since the start of the project in late 2012, Tenaris has invested a total of $16 million in the new threading facility which occupies an area of about 70,000 square meters and has a production capacity of 35,000 metric tons of pipes a year.

"Oil and gas exploration and production activity in Ecuador is going through an outstanding performance period, that would lead into the industrial growth of the country and its regions," said Ricardo Prosperi, Tenaris managing director for the Andean region.
