Tata Steel's subsidiaries report higher profit

Indian steelmaker Tata Steel's subsidiaries reported a 93.67 percent increase in their combined profit after taxes at Rupees 2.328 billion ($50.3 million) for the 2005-2006 fiscal. Combined revenues of the subsidiary companies increased by 194.5 percent to Rupees 55.45 billion ($1.2 billion) in the fiscal year 2005-2006.
