Tata Steel’s crude steel output slightly up in June quarter

Indian steelmaker Tata Steel has announced that its crude steel output for the first quarter ending June 30 amounted to 2.34 million mt, rising by 0.5 percent year on year. The company's liquid pig iron output in the given period was 2.6 million mt, up 2.37 percent compared to the corresponding quarter of the previous financial year.

During the June quarter this year, Tata Steel's finished steel output decreased by 0.9 percent to 2.22 million mt, while its sales volume reached 2.14 million mt, rising 1.9 percent, both compared to the same period of the previous financial year.
