Tangshan Steel ups its prices for April

On March 31, Hebei Province-based Tangshan Steel hiked its prices for April. The details are as follows:

1. Wire rod prices have increased by RMB 100/mt ($14/mt). As a result, the price of 6.5 mm diameter Q235 high speed wire rod is at RMB 4,950/mt ($705/mt).

2. Rebar prices have risen by RMB 100/mt ($14/mt). After the change, the price of 16-25 mm diameter HRB 335 rebar is now at RMB 4,930/mt ($702/mt), while that of 16-25 mm diameter HRB 400 rebar is at RMB 5,080/mt ($724/mt).

3. HR coil prices are up by RMB 200/mt ($28/mt). Thus, the price of 2.75 mm Q235 is at RMB 5,630/mt ($802/mt), while that of 5.75 mm is at RMB 5,500/mt ($783/mt).

4. CR coil prices have increased by RMB 150/mt ($21/mt). Following the adjustment, the price of 1.0 mm SPCC is now at RMB 6,350/mt ($905/mt).

5. Full Hard prices have gone up by RMB 150/mt ($21/mt). Thereby, the price of 1.0 mm SPCC is now at RMB 5,900/mt ($840/mt).

All the above prices include 17 percent VAT and are effective from April 1, 2008.
