Hebei Province-based Chinese steelmaker Tangshan Iron and Steel Co. (Tangshan Steel) has received an order for 5,800 mt of cold rolled steel products from the Philippines at a far higher price than the current domestic price in China, according to major Chinese steel producer Hebei Iron and Steel Co., which is Tangshan Steel's parent company.

At present, in the Chinese domestic market cold rolled steel transaction volumes have declined, while sales prices have also decreased. In this context, Tangshan Steel is increasing its focus on overseas markets.
