On September 3, Tangshan Steel's hot rolled structural steel strips obtained CE certification issued by the Shanghai office of Lloyd's Register Quality Assurance Limited (LRQA). This means that Tangshan Steel can now freely export its <12.7 mm hot rolled structural steel strips in a total of ten grades (including S235JR and S275JR) to the European Union (EU).

In August this year, experts from LRQA's Shanghai office conducted strict inspections of the production process, quality system, product quality, and mechanical properties of Tangshan Steel's <12.7 mm hot rolled structural steel strips. After the completion of all these inspections, LRQA verified that the hot rolled structural steel strips produced by Tangshan Steel are in accordance with EU EN10025-2: 2004 standard, ISO 9001 quality system and EN10025-1: 2004 standard, and thus meet the requirements of EU countries.
