Tangshan Steel issues longs prices for August

On July 28, Hebei Province-based Tangshan Steel issued its longs prices for August. The details are as follows:

1. Wire rod prices have decreased by RMB 100/mt ($15/mt). As a result, the price of 6.5 mm diameter Q235 high speed wire rod is at RMB 5,600/mt ($821/mt).

2. Rebar prices are down by RMB 100/mt ($15/mt). After the change, the price of 16-25 mm diameter HRB 335 rebar is now at RMB 5,300/mt ($777/mt), while that of 16-25 mm diameter HRB 400 rebar is at RMB 5,500/mt ($806/mt)

All the above prices include 17 percent VAT and are effective from August 1, 2008.
