Hebei Province-based Chinese steelmaker Hebei Iron and Steel Group has announced that in the first half of this year its subsidiary Tangshan Iron and Steel Co. sold 94,600 mt of gas shielded welding wire, increasing by 45,500 mt or nearly double compared to the same period last year.
The company's average sales price of gas shielded welding wire in the first half of the current year was RMB 436/mt ($81/mt) higher than the average price of its common wire rod products.In the given period, Tangshan Steel actively focused on expanding its market presence and increasing the number of its customers, becoming the sole supplier of the welding wire products in question to Lincoln Electric (Tangshan) Welding Materials Co., Tangshan Hongpeng Welding Co. and other companies.
