Taiwan's iron and steel export value down 14.5 percent in January-September

In September this year, the value of Taiwan's iron and steel exports decreased by 22.8 percent year on year to $1.17 billion, according to the preliminary statistics issued by Taiwan's Ministry of Finance. In the given month, the country's iron and steel import value totaled $587 million, down 44.3 percent year on year. 
 
In the first nine months of the current year, the value of Taiwan's iron and steel exports was down 14.5 percent to $11.85 billion, while the value of the country's imports of iron and steel totaled $6.95 billion, decreasing by 21.9 percent, both on year-on year basis.
