Taiwan’s basic metal export orders fall in January

According to the statistics released by the Taiwan Ministry of Economic Affairs, in January this year Taiwan's basic metal and basic metal product export orders amounted to $2.2 billion, decreasing by 9.75 percent compared to the previous month and down 12.5 percent compared to January 2011.

The country's basic metal and basic metal product export orders in 2011 amounted to a value of $30.65 billion, up 12.94 percent compared to 2010.
