Taiwan’s basic metal export orders down 4.5 percent in May from April

According to the statistics released by the Taiwan Ministry of Economic Affairs, in May this year Taiwan's basic metal and basic metal product export orders amounted to $2.02 billion, down 4.5 percent compared to the previous month and decreasing by 16.5 percent compared to May 2014. The country's basic metal and basic metal product export orders were down 15.7 percent in April on year-on-year basis.
 
The country's basic metal and basic metal product export orders in the first five months of the current year amounted to a value of $11.86 billion, falling by 11.8 percent compared to the same period of 2014.
