Taiwan’s basic metal export orders down 13.4 percent in January-August

According to the statistics released by the Taiwan Ministry of Economic Affairs, in August this year Taiwan's basic metal and basic metal product export orders amounted to $1.85 billion, down 21.9 percent compared to August 2014 and decreasing by 8.5 percent compared to the previous month. In July, Taiwan’s basic metal and basic metal product orders had recorded a 0.9 percent decrease month on month. 
 
In the January-August period of the current year, the country's basic metal and basic metal product export orders declined by 13.4 percent year on year to $16.4 billion.
