Taiwan’s basic metal output rises by 5.33 percent in 2011

Taiwan's industrial production index in December 2011 fell by 8.15 percent as compared to December 2010, while in 2011 the country's industrial production increased by 4.62 percent year on year, according to Taiwan's Ministry of Economic Affairs (MOEA).
In December 2011, production of the basic metal industry in Taiwan decreased 9.35 percent compared to December 2010, but was up 6.75 percent over the previous month. On the other hand, in the whole of 2011 the country's output of basic metals rose by 5.33 percent, while its fabricated metal products output grew by 8.36 percent, both year on year.
