Taiwan's industrial
production index in April this year increased by 1.06 percent as compared to April 2014 and was down 4.8 percent month on month, according to the country's Ministry of Economic Affairs (MOEA). Meanwhile,

production index in April increased by 1.46 percent compared to the same month of 2014.
In the first four months of this year,
Taiwan's seasonally adjusted industrial
production index increased by 4.54 percent year on year.
In April of the current year, industrial output in the country's basic metal manufacturing decreased by 3.48 percent and output of metal product manufacturing decreased by 1.12 percent, both compared with April 2014. In addition, on month-on-month basis, in April this year the basic metal manufacturing sector saw a decrease of 6.44 percent in output and the metal product manufacturing sector saw an output decrease of 0.62 percent. In the first four months, a 0.37 percent year-on-year decrease was recorded in
Taiwan's basic metal manufacturing output, while the fabricated metal product output index remained almost stable year on year.
Meanwhile, in April this year,
production in
Taiwan's machinery and equipment industry increased by 10.30 percent, output in the automotive industry decreased by 15.88 percent, while output in the Taiwanese construction sector increased by 21.16 percent, all year on year.
