Taiwan's basic metal export orders up 1.7 percent in Apr over Mar

In April this year, Taiwan's basic metal and basic metal product export orders amounted to $2.51 billion, up 1.7 percent compared to March and increasing by 11.4 percent compared to April 2013, according to Taiwan's Ministry of Economic Affairs. The country's basic metal and basic metal product export orders had increased by 10.6 percent and by 6.2 percent in February and March this year respectively, both on year-on-year basis.
 
On the other hand, the country's basic metal and basic metal product export orders in the first four months of the current year amounted to a value of $9.44 billion, rising by 5.5 percent on year-on-year basis.
