Taiwan’s basic metal export orders up 11.5% in January

According to the statistics released by the Taiwan Ministry of Economic Affairs, in January this year Taiwan's basic metal and basic metal product export orders amounted to $2.5 billion, decreasing by 0.5 percent compared to the previous month and up 11.5 percent compared to January 2012.

The country's basic metal and basic metal product export orders in 2012 amounted to a value of $28.7 billion, falling by 6.4 percent compared to 2011.
