Taiwan’s basic metal export orders fall slightly in Q1

According to the statistics released by the Taiwan Ministry of Economic Affairs, in March this year Taiwan's basic metal and basic metal product export orders amounted to $2.7 billion, increasing by 7.9 percent compared to the previous month and down 2.2 percent compared to March 2011.

The country's basic metal and basic metal product export orders in the first quarter of the current year amounted to a value of $7.35 billion, falling slightly by 0.7 percent compared to the same period of 2011.
