Taiwan’s basic metal export orders down seven percent in April

According to the statistics released by the Taiwan Ministry of Economic Affairs, in April this year Taiwan's basic metal and basic metal product export orders amounted to $2.48 billion, decreasing by seven percent compared both to the previous month and to April 2011.

The country's basic metal and basic metal product export orders in the first four months of the current year amounted to a value of $9.8 billion, falling by 2.36 percent compared to the same period of 2011.
