In January of the current year, Taiwan's basic metal and basic metal product export orders amounted to $2.36 billion, down 6.7 percent compared to December and decreasing by 4.5 percent compared to January 2013, according to Taiwan's Ministry of Economic Affairs.
The country's basic metal and basic metal product export orders were up 1.8 percent and down 3.4 percent in December and November respectively, both on year-on-year basis.
