According to the statistics released by the Taiwan Ministry of Economic Affairs, in February this year Taiwan's basic metal and basic metal product export orders amounted to $1.4 billion, down 17.3 percent compared to February last year and declining by 19.9 percent compared to the previous month. In January, Taiwan’s basic metal and basic metal product orders had recorded a 6.3 percent decrease month on month.
In the January-February period of the current year, the country's basic metal and basic metal product export orders declined by 18.6 percent year on year to $3.25 billion.
