Taiwan’s basic metal export orders down 16.9 percent in Jan-Mar

According to the statistics released by the Taiwan Ministry of Economic Affairs, in March this year Taiwan's basic metal and basic metal product export orders amounted to $2.0 billion, down 13.9 percent compared to March last year and rising by 38.4 percent compared to the previous month. In February, Taiwan’s basic metal and basic metal product orders had recorded a 19.9 percent decrease month on month. 
 
In the January-March period of the current year, the country's basic metal and basic metal product export orders declined by 16.9 percent year on year to $5.25 billion.
