Taigang Stainless Steel posts net profit of $54 million for H1

On August 29, Shanxi Province-based Chinese steelmaker Shanxi Taigang Stainless Steel Co.announced its financial report for the first half of the current year. Accordingly, in the given period the company's operating revenue totaled RMB 54.379 billion ($8.89 billion), up 8.45 percent, while its net profit amounted to RMB 333 million ($54.4 million), down 8.83 percent, both year on year.

In the first half of the current year, Shanxi Taigang Stainless Steel produced 4.82 million mt of crude steel - down 7.43 percent, and 1.56 million mt of stainless steel - up 0.43 percent, all on year-on-year.
