Taigang orders new lines from Andritz

China's Shanxi province based Taiyuan Iron and Steel Co. Ltd. (Taigang) ordered new production lines from Austria, Graz based rolling mills and strip processing lines manufacturer Andritz. The new orders include a stainless steel cold strip annealing and pickling line for maximum 2'100 mm strip width, a 20-high rolling mill for maximum 1'650 mm strip width and an S6-high reversing mill for maximum 2'100 mm strip width. Total value of the order is approximately €90 million. Taigang had ordered another cold strip annealing and pickling line for 1'320 mm strip from Andtritz in 2004. The new line is designed for an annual production of 700'000 tons for 0.4-8 mm strip thicknesses.
