In May of the current year, Swedish crude steel production amounted to 457,400 metric tons, increasing by 11.5 percent year on year and up by 2.83 percent as compared to April, according to the latest data released by the Swedish Steel Producers' Association (Jernkontoret).
Meanwhile, in the January-May period of this year, Swedish crude steel output increased to almost 2.2 million mt, up 9.1 percent year on year.
