In Sweden, seasonally adjusted industrial production decreased by 4.1 percent in September this year compared to August, and was down five percent year on year in working day-adjusted figures, according to Statistics Sweden (SCB). According to SCB, the month-on-month decline in September is the largest since January 2009, apart from a temporary reduction in production in February earlier this year. Meanwhile, the production was stable in the third quarter compared to the second quarter this year.

Meanwhile, production was stable in the third quarter compared to the second quarter this year.
In the third quarter this year, new orders for basic metals in Sweden decreased 7.2 percent compared to the second quarter of the year, mainly driven by the 10.9 percent decrease in domestic orders. Meanwhile, new orders for the Swedish fabricated metal products industry, except machinery and equipment, decreased by 7.3 percent in the third quarter compared to the previous quarter.
On the other hand, in the third quarter this year Swedish basic metal output decreased by 3.3 percent quarter on quarter. In the period in question, the country's manufacture of fabricated metal products, except machinery and equipment output, fell by 2.1 percent compared to the previous quarter.
