Steel product deliveries in Ukraine up 15 percent in Jan-Nov 2011

According to data released by metal trading enterprise Ukrainian Mining and Metallurgical Company (UGMK), in the first 11 months of last year deliveries of steel products to the Ukrainian domestic market increased by 15 percent year on year to 6.623 million mt.

In November alone, steel product deliveries in Ukraine decreased by 2.3 percent compared to November 2010 and went down by 5.7 percent compared to October 2011, falling to 574,000 mt.

In the January-November period of last year, the share of imports in Ukraine's domestic rolled steel product market was 21.5 percent, compared to 23 percent in the same period of 2010.
