Steel Tube Inc. announces expansion

North Carolina-based Steel Tube Inc. has announced plans to expand production at its Marble Road facility.  The expansion will increase the plant’s footprint by approximately 40,000 feet; company representatives also confirmed STI would be hiring 50 new employees.

Steel Tube Inc. transforms fabricates steel into items that are used to make shopping carts, bed frames and other types of end-use items.  Company owner Leon Rives said the current low-cost of steel has allowed Steel Tube Inc. to lower its production costs, which has helped them expand their business.
