Steel service center shipments mostly stagnant in US in August

According to a Thursday report from the Metals Service Center Institute, service center steel shipments in August 2014 increased by a small amount from August 2013. Steel product inventories increased 13.5 percent from August a year ago.

Meanwhile, Canadian service center shipments of steel products in August 2014 decreased by 4.6 percent from August 2013. Steel product inventories increased 8.0 percent from August a year ago.
