Steel investments in China’s Anhui Province decline in Jan-Apr

In the first four months of the current year, China's Anhui Province recorded total industrial investments of RMB 174.1 billion ($27.55 billion), up by 26 percent year on year. In the given period, investment in the iron and steel industry in Anhui Province saw a 42 percent year-on-year decline to RMB 8.35 billion ($1.32 billion).

In January-April, investment in manufacturing industry in Anhui totaled RMB 156.8 billion ($24.81 billion), accounting for 90.6 percent of total industrial investment in the province. Meanwhile, investment in the automotive industry in Anhui in January-April totaled RMB 13.45 billion ($2.128 billion), up a massive 94.4 percent year on year.
