Stainless steel unit of ThyssenKrupp hikes prices

Continuously rising raw material costs, particularly scrap cost, coupled with energy costs keep supporting the upward trend in prices. It is recently announced that ThyssenKrupp Nirosta (TKN) GmbH of Germany and ThyssenKrupp Acciai Speciali Terni S.p.A. of Italy are going to increase the base prices of stainless steel flat products. A price increase of €50/mt will be applied on flat stainless steel and heat resistant steel products with effectiveness as of May 1. Deliveries from the mentioned date to all European countries will be subject to this increase.
