Swedish steelmaker SSAB inaugurated last week a distribution center for high-strength steel in the city of Contagem, in the state of Minas Gerais, the company said.

The distribution center will be added to other two steel distribution hubs the steel company has in Brazil, which are located in the cities of Sao Paulo and Curitiba, in the state of Sao Paulo and Parana, respectively.

The space will meet Brazil’s demand for steel and will offer “competitive costs” as well as to “improve the flow of materials, while reducing the wait time for logistics,” the company said.

The new distribution center has an 800 square meter area and can store up to 4,000 mt of steel.
