Spain’s motor vehicle output falls in January

In January this year, Spain's total motor vehicle output amounted to 160,182 units, falling by 17.5 percent year on year and down 53.8 percent month on month, according to the data reported by the Spanish Automobile and Truck Manufacturers' Association (ANFAC).
 
In the given month, the Spanish passenger car segment recorded a decline of 23.4 percent year on year and an increase of 52.3 percent month on month in output, totaling 115,272 units. In the industrial vehicle segment in January, a year-on-year decrease of 18.3 percent was recorded in output, totaling 33,009 units.
 
87.9 percent of total Spanish motor vehicle production was exported in the month in question, while motor vehicle exports fell by 18.3 percent year on year to 140,833 units. In January, Spain's passenger car exports recorded a decline of 24.4 percent year on year, totaling 100,265 units, while industrial vehicle exports saw a year-on-year decrease of 20.4 percent, totaling 29,159 units.
