Spain’s motor vehicle output up 11.2 percent in Nov over Oct

In November 2011, total motor vehicle production in Spain increased by 11.2 percent month on month to 214,568 units, down 3.8 percent compared to the same month of 2010, while its passenger car output in November was 159,749, down 9.2 percent compared to November 2010, according to the data reported by the Spanish Automobile and Truck Manufacturers' Association (ANFAC). In the industrial vehicle segment, a year-on-year increase of 14.37 percent was recorded in output in November.

In the first 11 months of 2011, Spain's total motor vehicle output amounted to 2,249,527 units, rising by 0.4 percent year on year. In the January-November period, the passenger car segment recorded a decline of 3.15 percent year on year in output, totaling 1,743,854 units.

In November, 90.65 percent of total Spanish motor vehicle production was exported, while motor vehicle exports in the first 11 months of 2011 grew by 4.2 percent year on year to 2,024,558 units.
