In November this year, South Korea's total car output surged by 10.1 percent year on year, totaling 428,516 units, according to a report released by the Korea Automobile Manufacturers Association (KAMA). The report says that the increase was due to the growth of exports. Meanwhile, in the first 11 months of 2011, South Korea's car production rose 9.2 percent year on year to 4,231,947 units.

South Korean domestic car sales in November this year decreased by 12.7 percent year on year to 115,768 units due to contracted consumer sentiment amid concerns over the economic slowdown in and out of the nation, combined with increased oil prices - marking the second consecutive month of decline. In the first 11 months of 2011, domestic sales climbed 1.2 percent year on year to 1,344,480 vehicles.
