South Korea's auto exports down 3.3 percent in Jan-Feb

In February this year, South Korea's total automotive (cars and commercial vehicles) output amounted to 361,115 units, up 6.89 percent year on year and down 1.93 percent month on month, according to a report released by the Korea Automobile Manufacturers Association (KAMA). On the other hand, South Korea's car and commercial vehicle output in the first two months of the current year saw a year-on-year decrease of 2.55 percent to 729,343 units.

Meanwhile, in February this year South Korean automotive exports totaled 245,231 units, down 4.57 percent month on month and up 4.29 percent year on year. In the first two months of the current year, the country's automotive exports decreased by 3.30 percent year on year to 502,203 units.

In February this year, the number of vehicles sold in the South Korean domestic market totaled 107,940 units, up 8.45 percent year on year and increasing by 0.74 percent month on month. In the first two months this year, domestic vehicle sales in South Korea increased by 4.68 percent year on year to 214,090 units.
