South Africa-based Richards Bay Coal Terminal (RBCT), one of the world's largest coal handling ports, has announced that it exported 4.63 million mt of coal in May, down 10.5 percent from 5.17 million mt in April and up 29.5 percent year on year.
Coal exports from the terminal in the first five months of the year amounted to 26.5 million mt, increasing by 17.1 percent compared to the corresponding period of the previous year. Stocks at the terminal stood at 3.11 million mt at the end of May.
