South Africa's GDP up 3.3 percent in Q2 from Q1

In the second quarter of the current year, South Africa's seasonally adjusted gross domestic product (GDP) increased by 3.3 percent quarter on quarter, while the country's unadjusted GDP rose by 0.6 percent compared to the same quarter of the previous year, according to the detailed statistics released by Statistics South Africa.
 
In the first half of this year, South Africa's unadjusted GDP grew by 0.3 percent year on year. 

Meanwhile, in the second quarter of this year the country's manufacturing sector registered an increase of 8.1 percent in output from the previous quarter. According to the report, notable increases in the second quarter were reported by the petroleum products, chemicals, rubber and plastic division and the motor vehicles, parts and accessories and other transport equipment division, quarter on quarter.
