SMS Demag receives order from CST

German SMS Demag recently announced that the company has recently received an order from Brazilian steel producer Companhia Siderúrgica de Tubarão (CST) for the extension of the LD steel plant at CST's works at Vitoria. The project is worth €40 million. Accordingly, SMS Demag will install certain equipment to the plant, including electrical and automation systems. After the completion of the project, Converter III will enable the capacity to increase from 5.2 million tons to 7.5 million tons. The project is scheduled to start in May 2006.
