Slovenia’s Metal Ravne posts positive financial results for 2011

Slovenia-based long special steel producer Metal Ravne, subsidiary of Slovenian Steel Group (SIJ), has announced that in 2011 its sales revenue reached €168 million, while its net profit totaled €9.1 million, which is about 2.5 times the 2010 figure.

Last year, Metal Ravne's ingot output increased by 10 percent year on year to 118,000 mt.

SIJ group, operating in Slovenia, is owned by the Russian firm Industrial Metallurgical Holding Management Company and also incorporates Slovenian stainless steel producer Acroni, which recently estimated its net profit in 2011 at €7-8 million.
