Russia's largest pipe producer TMK has stated that its subsidiary Sinarsky Pipe Works has started to ship large lots of pipe products of steel of 13Cr type. The production technology in question was mastered in 2011. In December last year, the plant shipped a lot of pipes of 88.9 mm x 7.34 mm (L80 strength type, 13Cr type) with the premium thread connection TMK UP PF totaling 590 mt.

A particular feature of the pipes of this type, besides chrome content, is thermal treatment and resistance to carbon dioxide. A particular feature of the order is the level of requirements in line with PSL-2 product norms including additional, more strict norms of quality of inner surface of pipes and thread connections.
