Siam Tinplate plans to increase production

Recent news in the market reveals that, Thai mill Siam Tinplate plans to increase production capacity of tinplate and tin free steel (TFS) to meet strong demand from local food packaging industry. Current demand in Thailand for tinplate and TFS is around 530'000 tons and expected to reach 600'000 tons in 2005. Annual production capacity of Siam is 120'000 tons and with an installation of new plating tank, it is expected to increase to 150'000 in 2005.
