Chinese steel producer Hebei Steel Group has announced that during the first five months of the current year its Hebei Province-based subsidiary Shijiazhuang Iron and Steel (Shijiazhuang Steel) exported 117,000 mt of finished steel products.
 
In the January-May period, Shijiazhuang Steel achieved a total revenue of $88 million from its exports. Despite high raw material costs, reduced profit margin and tougher market competition, Shijiazhuang Steel has even managed to improve its export performance.
