Shaoguan Steel hikes rebar prices once more
SteelOrbis Shanghai On January 12, Guangdong Province-based Shaoguan Steel hiked its ex-factory prices for rebars for the third time in January. The details are as follows: 1. Rebar prices increased RMB 50/mt ($6). As a result, the price of 18-25 mm diameter HRB335 rebar is now at RMB 3,580/mt ($459). 2. Wire rod prices have remained constant. Thus, the price of 6.5-10 diameter Q235 high speed wire rod is still at RMB 3,450/mt ($442). The above prices include taxes (17 percent VAT) and are effective as of January 12, 2007.
