Shanxi to eliminate 30,000 mt of dated ferroalloy capacities in 2010

The authorities in the northeastern Chinese province of Shanxi have stated that they intend to eliminate 205,000 mt of dated calcium carbide capacities and 30,000 mt of dated ferroalloy capacities in 2010, affecting a total of 14 enterprises in this province.

Xingtian Chemical Co., Ltd., based in the city of Yangquan City, as well as other 11 calcium carbide enterprises in the province will eliminate a total of 14 production units, while ferroalloy producers Shanxi Xinyi Ferroalloy Co., Ltd and Shanxi Xinxing Coal, Electricity & Chemical Co., Ltd will eliminate a total of three production units between them.
